After a good night sleep what a pleasure waking up surrounded by dozens of family members. By 8:00 a.m. we were enjoying the company of each other at the breakfast table.

Saturday morning was not programmed with formal activities to give chance to enjoy the surrounding area attractions of Maricao. Rain canceled these outings. But the morning did not go to waste thanks to Yvonne Hernandez (Josefa's family) and her Cancrafts presentation. Yvonne Hernandez can transform an aluminum can into a valuable item. Cancrafts was a big hit with the children as well as adults.

After the cancrafts presentation many gathered in the reception room to participate of the family circle. It kind of brought to mind the gatherings late 1950's early 1960's at Tilila's in Brooklyn, New York. Some members of the 3rd generation shared memories of their grandfather, Jose Ortiz, and those of the 2nd generation as well.
