On July 28-30, 2006, eighty five members of the Ortiz family gathered for the first family reunion at La Hacienda Juanita, a peaceful retreat located in the beautiful mountains of Maricao, Puerto Rico. Five of the six family branches from the surviving four generations were represented. Eneida Rios, third generation from Tilila's family branch, from Mayagüez, Puerto Rico at 71 years old was the oldest relative in attendance and Yasir Felton, sixth generation from Panchita's family branch, from Delaware, at 4 month old, the youngest. Families from Connecticut, New York, Delaware, Florida and Puerto Rico, sharing old memories and creating new lasting memories.
